About Ebonylance GentleRide

Our name nods to calm strength—“ebony” for grounded presence, “lance” for precise focus. Together they reflect how we teach: steady, clear, and gentle.

Our story

Ebonylance GentleRide began when a group of instructors noticed students struggling with one-size-fits-all instruction. We redesigned the experience around emotional safety and small, repeatable wins. The result is a school where riders feel seen and supported—especially on the tough days.

Our mission

To help people ride with confidence and kindness—toward themselves and others—through practical, safety-first training that honors each person’s pace.

Values we practice

  • Patience over pressure: learning locks in when anxiety loosens.
  • Evidence-led safety: drills sourced from reputable rider education frameworks.
  • Dignity in feedback: clarity without criticism.
  • Community care: we look out for one another, on and off the bike.

We pledge to protect your attention and energy. If a drill feels overwhelming, we pause—breathe—then adapt it. Your well-being sets the pace.
